Dear Jith,

TERIMA KASIH for an unforgettable excursion. We truly enjoyed every moment of walking with you. Our insights are:

  • Sighting and photographing the trogon, frogmouth and pitta
  • Getting 16 out of 33 endemic species [of Birds] (This is not including butterflies, lizards and snake!)
  • Achieving 114 species in 8 days.
  • The Sri Lankan LEECHES were a not-to-welcome-highlight – Our tally keing: Suhami (4 bites), Joseph, Angeline (3 each) and Mark (2 bites).
  • Amazing close encounter with the Blue Magpie
  • Learning the “secret” code word for the jungle fowl – we will always remember “Bak BAk Bak” fondly.
  • It was also an honor to meet Martin after learning about his history and experience setting  up Martin’s Lodge.
  • Do keep in touch with us and we look forward to crawling with you in Malaysia and future trips in Sri Lanka.

A special thanks goes to Manju for his safe and careful driving while taking us around, and for his help with our equipment.
Best wishes from the JAMS gang.
