Rosen Family with Upali

A well planned and executed trip for nature birds & culture. Mr. Upali has done a very good Job with Logistics, Atmosphere and not least sharing his deep knowledge on Birds and culture. We really appreciate him sharing local customs, foods and treats.

Last but not least, Mr. Upali is an extremely committed bird watcher and managed to show 34 (All) Endemics with views, in addition we saw much more and had a good birding experience.

The choice of accommodation has been varied but always with “location” focus. We like this concept, and with Mr. Upali reminding us to bring a few beers to Martin’s Lodge we were all set!

Thanks for an excellent walk in Sinharaja. Your botanical knowledge is excellent and it was a pleasure to learn from you in the forest. I hope to come here again, may be even to do a reaseach project. I just love Dipterocarpus! Look after your self and I'll be in contact if I'm comming back.

Plantation Kitulgala -- Very nice, not much choice for vegetarian choice
Binota -- friendly, loud on one evening.
Hibiscus -- very nice, excellent birding, excellent food
Martin’s Lodge -- simple but an excellent location, friendly people and good food.
Our Guide -- Upali was most helpful and knowledgeable. He  was driving very safety and we found all  the birds;

All in all an excellent experience which I can recommend to any birder visiting Sri Lanka.
