Superb and well organised 20 day trip, loved hetti who is an expert wildlife guide. We learnt the names of many Sri Lankan birds and animals. Our trip was a great mix of different experiences from safaris and walks to ancient cultural sites. We would recommend walk with ith to others.
Our driver Sumudu had a lovely manor and kept the van very clean.
We were also appreciative of the efforts to reduce plastic water bottle waste so we bought our own water bottles and a sterilizer pen and the company provided 5 litre bottles to refill our bottles when needed.
Susar gave us a feedback form to fill out but instead we’re emailing it to you as we didn't get time to fill it in by hand.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Susar for driving us around for the week. It has been the absolute best way for us to get around and see beautiful Sri Lanka.
We loved how much history Susar knew and told us about as we was passing all off the lovely landmarks. Nothing was ever too much for him and he took us wherever we needed or wanted to go.

Our choice of Kithulvilla in Kitulgala was excellent even though A/C was not functioning. Food + service were brilliant although a few miles out of village this was not an issue. Scenery/ setting fabulous and birds in the garden.
Nuwara-Eliya hotel was not so good with few facilities. There must be better hotels in this area for the price. I would recommend trying some other options.
Tissa hotel (Hibiscus Garden) was excellent with good facilities, great setting and good food.
Sinharaja- Jansen’s Bungalow. Stunning setting and excellent accommodation and food.
Drivers/ Guides were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and were always there on time.

Thilina is an outstanding guide – he looked after us very well and made sure we saw all the birds and other wildlife. Many of the birds we would have never found ourselves! The whole tour was really well organized, good accommodation and great food along the way. Can thoroughly recommend to others.
A great 5-day birding trip which delivered exactly what it said on the “Walk With Jith” website.
I was collected by my guide, Upali, from Ella and transported, in comfort to our hotel near Yala. The swimming pool was a plus as were the early morning coffees!
We first visited Bundala which was stunning especially the salt pans where there were miles in every direction you could look. We were lucky enough to see leopard + sloth bear at Yala. Then on to Sinharaja where, among other endemics, we saw Serendib Scopes Owl.
The entire tour was well organized with Upali a font of information.
As a solo traveler I always felt well looked after and safe on this, my first visit to Sri Lanka.

I have nothing but praise for Walk With Jith. From the moment I emailed Jith to enquire about a tour, I felt that I was in safe hands, dealing with people who understood just what I wanted and were happy to provide it. I soon learned that Jith runs a very professional operation, with kindness, expertise, and thoughtful attention to detail.
My main driver Thilina was fair dinkum amazing: I reckon I’ve met some pretty good birders over the years, and I’m no beginner myself come to that, but Thilina takes the cake. Nice bloke, cheerful, easy going, phenomenal ability to spot a difficult bird, endless patience, and a ton of energy. We did an eclectic mixture of bird photography, hard-core birding, landscape photography, and various other things as the fancy took us. Perfect.
This is our third trip to Sri Lanka with “Walk With Jith”. On our first visit some 9 years ago we did some intense birding and saw 204 different species in 14 days. On our second trip 3 or 4 years ago we concentrated on finding the 4 endemics we missed previously. This time we took a more relaxed approach leaving out the rain forest and having more time enjoying the excellent facilities at the hotels we stopped at but still saw 151 different species together with mammals, reptiles, including a 20-foot-long python and countless beautiful butterflies. Our accommodation was first class ranging from the colonial Bandarawela hotel dating back to 1893 to the latest resort hotels. The food everywhere was excellent and almost exclusively buffet style so we could be adventurous or play it safe. Our guide and driver, Upali was superb at finding, spotting and identifying everything we saw and drove through the traffic smoothly which is no mean feat.
My wife and I have spent a week with Athula and its been amazing. Sri Lanka is a beautiful Country but without Athula as our guide, we wouldn't have learn’t half as much as we have and it wouldn't have been as easy to get around and see everything we have seen.
The suggested hotels have been great with some great locations and the itinerary that was put together for us has been excellent for us. We’ve enjoyed the adventure that Sri Lanka has offered with the luxury element that walkwithjith provides organizing the trip was easy with jith. Hes got great knowledge and was always fast to reply or change elements of the plan for us.

Hetti and Dhammika have been so knowledgeable, helpful and we couldn’t have hoped for two friendlier people to guide our tour.
We were so impressed with their in depth, encyclopedic knowledge of birds and wildlife. Hetti and Dhammika’s enthusiasm was infectious and it was so evident that they love their subject and were so happy to share their knowledge. They always made us feel safe while navigating some very challenging drives. They were always so kind, helpful and cheerful. Hetti and Dhammika were very adaptable to our changing needs.
Enjoyed a superb endemics focused week with Thilina. Hes a fantastic birder and lovely man. Not only did he somehow find me all the target species in six days but he really made sure I was enjoying my time in Sri Lanka.
