Thank you for a well organized and very enjoyable 16 days in Sri Lanka. Wherever we went, the people were very hospitable, extremely friendly & helpful – hotel staff, locals, jeep drivers, shopkeepers etc – always smiling and genuinely pleased to see you, even welcoming you into their houses and gardens to enable you to see owls in their rafters or spurfowl in their gardens at odd hours of the day!

We are indebted to our guide Senerath who enabled us to find and photograph over 200 species of birds, including all the endemics but one. He was extremely patient always ensuing we had completed our bird lists of an evening, carefully explaining what we would need in terms of clothing etc. the next day, always punctual and had a very good sense of humour. How he negotiated the city driving tactics left us both impressed (and occasionally speechless!)
