Hi Jith,

Now that we have settled back into our home routine I am just writing to thank you for organising our recent visit to Sri Lanka. We had a really fantastic tour and enjoyed every minute of it. Your organisation was faultless and the every day support and guidance offered by Athula was excellent. From the moment Athula met us at the airport everything went smoothly so that we could fully enjoy our first visit to Sri Lanka. The hotels which you chose for us were all of a very high standard with each one offering its own individual characteristics. The "van" was very comfortable and expertly driven by Athula, whilst the route which we followed was full of interest with each day bringing new experiences. I was also impressed with the way in which Athula modified the itinerary day by day to accommodate our interests, abilities and state of health!! If he noticed that we were a little tired after several early starts he adjusted the next day's programme to allow us a little "lie in". He was always ready to help Anne if she was finding sections of any of the walks difficult. His knowledge of the birds of Sri Lanka is outstanding and his ability to pick out the smallest birds even in dense vegetation was very impressive. Nor was he satisfied until he was sure that we had seen a particular bird!! Because of his keen eyesight, we nicknamed him "Hawkeye"!!! I think that he was a little disappointed that we did not see more species but I recorded 206 species on my check list which I thought was amazing!!
We were also very pleased that you were able to meet us at Tissa and it was a good opportunity to tell you how much we were enjoying the trip. So very many thanks to you and to Athula for a great holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and hope that some day we may be able to go back to Sri Lanka and visit some other areas of a beautiful island!!
